Blog Posting- Sound

 Sound Project 1:

For this project, we were expected to brainstorm topics on sound, especially a 1-2 minute audio of a black screen  of our idea. Since we were only allowed to use 7 words throughout our audio, we found it useful for our brainstorming to come up with something unique. Our project is composed of downloaded sounds from websites such as Pixabay and my own foley sounds I made at home. The sounds outlines helped a lot conveying our audio including the foley sounds. We used the clipchamp app which is the best for these types of projects. Our idea was a normal bike ride suddenly turning into a loud storm making riders have to take shelter at a restaurant and taking time for themselves there. I believe that this plan was unique for the audio, and conveys sounds that could make others visualize what is happening. However, I also believe that we could've added more to our project considering it was only about 1 minute and 5 seconds long. For example, the biker could've crashed on something and needs to look for help, that could've made it more interesting. Overall, our project is understandable and helps the listener understand and create images in their head based off the plot of the audio.

Sound Project 2: On this project, we were assigned to add audio including our own foley sounds to our one word film. During the brainstorming, my partner and I went through our project a couple times and decided on what sounds we could add. Our original outline helped contribute to our sounds the same way the video did. Reviewing the video and the outline helped us imagine what sounds would fit the scene. Our project was made on clipchamp which made it simpler to upload audio to our film. Tracing back to the project, I believe that the audios we added were ideal to the film, they portray everyday things that you hear at school like the chatter in the classroom and the backpack zipper. Although we did great on that part, we could've improved the quality on some of the foley sounds even though it fits into the ambience of the film.
